Characters

Rimidalv
Rimidalv was born with something that borders the line between wanderlust and Obsessive Compulsive Need to Discover Things Syndrome. He likes being the prince, and doesn't really have any issue with being king someday, but takes it all rather for granted. He likes exploring, eating, and not brushing his hair, which horrifies Abdiel. However, Abdiel really shouldn't complain, because Rimidalv, though lacking all form of responsibility and personal hygiene, is at least not a bad guy. This is a definite improvement of how he used to be, which was an absolute nightmare of a demon child. Not demon literally; just figuratively.

Abdiel
Abdiel is the bodyguard of the prince, but only in title. Realistically, he's the annoying person who makes the prince do princely things that the prince has no longing to do, because the prince is a bum. Abdiel is constantly ridiculed and scorned as a guard due to his slight build, but he's a decent shot and an even better strategist. When it comes to playing pranks on people, that is. He's known as a ladies' man, and will goof off and make lame jokes at any chance he can. When it comes to responsibilities, though, his personality abruptly flips like a pancake, and he becomes stoic and deadly serious. So deadly is his serious when he is serious. For this reason, some visitors at first mistake him for the prince instead of Rimidalv, which Rimidalv, expectantly, does not appreciate at all. As for the relationship between Abdiel and Rimidalv, it is somewhat unusual. They both tend to see each other as the younger brother, while still managing to be best of buds. Go figure.

Haidar
Or, more respectively, King Haidar. King Haidar is the king. Obviously. He has seen much and hidden more, out of fear that knowledge of the past will only spark his son's curiosity, and cause him to shrug off his duties completely. If Rimidalv does not start being a man and appeasing the people, Haidar's dynasty will be cut off, and the mage counsel will take complete control. The mage counsel pretty much already has complete control but the king still at least has influence, and he'd really rather not lose that over a son who doesn't even bother to show up for dinner; the ingrate.

Beati
Known among the people as the silent stronghold, Beati is the Queen, and supports her husband as he supports the kingdom. She used to be a dancer, and like all dancers, possesses deep within her heart, a fiery spirit and the will to fly. This will, combined with her husband's natural quest for knowledge, is what created the disaster known as Rimidalv. Beati will not deny that Rimidalv is a disaster, but claims that he is a beautiful one, nonetheless. Referring to his heart and spirit, that is. There isn't really much beautiful outside for that good ol' chap.

Griffin
Griffin is not a bird. That would be a gryphon. This is Griffin, and he's a man. But, to those around him, he is more of a shadow of a man. You will see him hidden in plain sight; tucked away in corners, or sitting in the halls, silent as a hunter with ears as sharp as lead. He makes the guards uneasy. This may either be due to the fact that he oversees them, or that he still uses a broadsword even though one of his arms has been reduced to a stump.
